When arriving for your appointment, make sure you have a valid form of government issued photo identification. In addition, refer to your appointment confirmation email from your test sponsor to check if you are required to present any additional identification or documentation at check-in.

Immediately following check-in, you will be issued a locker key with a corresponding on-site locker. Most locations also provide a coat rack. You will be asked to place all contents of pockets, non-religious headwear or general loose items into your locker.

To a degree, yes. If you are looking to begin your test early, you can try your luck arriving before scheduled and if the proctors can accommodate the appointment earlier than planned, you may begin testing early. However, we cannot allow studying in our testing center lobbies. If you are looking to come early and study immediately before your exam, you will be asked to leave and come back when you are ready to start.

In most instances, nothing beyond your locker key and any exam material issued to you by the proctor. However, there are some items that are considered “comfort aids” that are allowed into the exam room, such as asthma inhalers, ice packs, hearing aids and eye drops. Any beverages, food, or medication that might need to be accessed mid-exam is placed above the locker so that it can be accessed swiftly if necessary.

With the exception of CLEP exams and external exams from a school, we do not handle scheduling in-house. Instead, please direct all scheduling and rescheduling questions to your test sponsor or client. If you are taking a CLEP or external exam, please reach out to us by email at mitzi@avnalearningcenter.com or call the specific location you’re looking to schedule at.
